Fungicide

Fungicide is an important tool to protect a growers corn, wheat, and soybeans from yield robbing diseases. An application of fungicide will not only protect these crops from disease, but also provide plant health benefits that will add to the bushels at harvest. Timing of the application is critical to protect the plants and to provide the yield increases producers are striving for.

* Corn: applications can be made in-furrow at planting, at the V5-V7 growth stage, and at tassel timing. In-furrow applications can protect plants from soil born diseases and give the seeds a more uniform and even emergence.

* V5-V7 applications will give the corn plant a plant health boost at the time the plant is determining kernel row and length.

* Tassel application will be important to protect the plant from many late season diseases such as grey leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, and southern rust. This application will also provide the plant with a bump while pollinating, which will lead to yield and standability.

Soybean:

Applications should be made at R2-R3 to protect the plant from disease stress during pod fill.

Wheat:

Applications should be made at flag leaf to protect wheat from strip rust and to prevent fusarium head rot. Timing here is critical so be sure to scout fields early and often!

Insecticide

An application of an insecticide is a tool that can save growers money by controlling yield robbing insects. These applications should be made when pests have reached a level that is detrimental to potential yield. Aerial application provides the quickest response to these pests and doesn’t damage a growing crop. Adding an insecticide during a fungicide application is very good way to protect plants from disease and insect damage at the same time, saving the grower money and worry.

Pasture

Controlling weeds in a pasture is very important for making your cattle as profitable as possible. By controlling range and pasture weeds the producer is able to make more feed available to their herds. We will use 32% fertilizer as a carrier in the spring application to give your pasture a needed boost during spring green up. Fall applications can also be made using residual products giving summer long protection.
